Dr. Bunten graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 2000. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University. She won a fellowship to study Obstetrics and Gynecology at Queen Mother’s Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland, and has also volunteered at the Verbo Clinic, a missionary-run public health clinic and surgicenter in Cuenca, Ecuador.
Dr. Bunten has interests in vulvar health and family planning, and enjoys all aspects of low & high-risk pregnancy care. She has special expertise in complex pelvic surgery, including the use of minimally invasive incontinence and laparoscopic surgery techniques for hysterectomy.
Dr. Bunten enjoys spending time with her husband and children, and exploring the unspoiled natural areas in the Pacific Northwest.
