Dr. Schoenkerman earned his medical degree from Northwestern University in 2002. Subsequently, he completed his internship and residency at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). He stayed in San Francisco to complete his cardiology fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center in 2008.
He moved to the Northwest with his wife and daughter in 2009, after completing his final fellowship year in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Wisconsin. There, he obtained advanced training in coronary artery, peripheral vascular, and structural heart disease intervention.
Dr. Schoenkerman cares for patients with heart disease and peripheral vascular disease, and has a particular interest in vascular medicine and coronary artery disease. He enjoys discovering the complexity of an individual’s illness, and helping his patients understand those complexities in order to make educated choices about their care.
Outside of work you will find him hanging out with his wife and two daughters.
