Zheng Qian, MD, PhD

Dr. Zheng Qian enjoys connecting with patients and getting to know them personally. He takes the time to talk to people about their diagnoses and calm their anxieties.
As a Mohs surgeon, Dr. Qian specializes in removing skin cancers in cosmetically sensitive areas and reconstructing the wounds. He finds it gratifying to send patients home cancer-free, and delights in using his skills and experience to fix each unique wound in a way that minimizes scarring, preserves function, and achieves a great cosmetic result.
Born and raised in China, Dr. Qian received both his doctor of medicine and doctorate in molecular biology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his preliminary internship in internal medicine at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. After finishing a photodynamic therapy fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York, he completed a dermatology residency at The State University of New York (SUNY), also in Buffalo. He capped his official training with a Mohs surgery fellowship at the Center for Dermatology and Skin Surgery in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Qian enjoys being a dad to his two children. During spare moments he listens to music, plays tennis, and dabbles in painting and pottery. He is fluent in Mandarin.
