Dr. Vishesh Kumar believes that care is a partnership. As a cardiologist, he provides honest, straight-forward opinions and treatment options so that patients can make the best decisions for their health.
Dr. Kumar specializes in interventional and structural cardiology. He finds it extremely gratifying to help individuals during the most critical time in their lives and to guide their recovery. He has a specific interest in structural heart interventions. Minimally invasive procedures and advanced technologies are offering new hope to patients, and he loves getting people back to enjoying life.
Dr. Kumar earned a bachelor of medicine and surgery degree from Rani Durgavati University in Jabalpur, India. He completed a resident internship at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, also in Jabalpur. He went on to complete a residency and chief residency in internal medicine at North Shore Medical Center in Salem, Massachusetts.
From there, Dr. Kumar was a chief cardiology fellow and interventional cardiology fellow at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He also completed a structural heart disease fellowship at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Kumar and his wife, an internist, have a son and boy-girl twins. They enjoy spending time together as a family and listening to Punjabi music.
