Violetta Kolesnikova, MD, PhD
Dr. Kolesnikova received her medical degree in 1988 from Vinnica Medical Institute (Ukraine) and PhD degree in 1993 from Bubnov Medical University, Ivanovo, Russia. After returning to Ukraine, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the university medical center until 1996.
She became a certified Cytotechnologist in 1999 at the University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Kolesnikova completed her AP/CP residency Pathology at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. In 2010, she completed a surgical pathology fellowship at the Washington University in St. Louis, MI. In 2011, after completion of a GI & Hepatic Pathology fellowship at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Dr. Kolesnikova became a staff pathologist at Portland Adventist Medical Center. She joined Vancouver Clinic in April of 2012.
Dr. Kolesnikova believes in providing accurate and timely diagnosis of biopsy specimens, and effective communication with clinicians. Her areas of special interest are GI and liver pathology and cytopathology.
She spends her free time with her family and enjoys reading and traveling. Dr. Kolesnikova is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists, US and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and Oregon Association of Pathologists.
