Timothy Mitchell, MD
Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician
Dr. Timothy Mitchell feels privileged to guide women through complicated and high-risk pregnancies. He takes the time to make sure patients have all their questions answered and feel good about the care plan for them and their baby. He believes education helps reduce anxiety in moms-to-be and better enables them to navigate health challenges. He enjoys nothing more than helping a woman deliver her baby after a successful pregnancy.
While Dr. Mitchell is passionate about all areas of maternal fetal medicine, he has a particular interest in helping women manage diabetes and autoimmune conditions and avoid preterm birth. All of these can have a profound impact on the long-term health of a child.
Dr. Mitchell grew up in eastern Washington and earned a bachelor of arts in biology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. He earned a doctor of medicine from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency and maternal fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He is board certified in maternal fetal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Mitchell and his wife have two young children who keep them on their toes. He loves to fly fish, camp, ski, run, and cycle. As a medical student, he rode his bike across the country to advocate for improvements in health care quality and access.
