Tenley Rivera, MD
Geriatric Psychiatrist
Dr. Tenley Rivera earned a doctor of medicine from the University of Utah Medical School in 2012. She completed a residency in psychiatry, spending a year as chief resident, and also finished a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Washington Medical Center. She also holds a bachelor of science in biology from the University of Utah.
Dr. Rivera enjoys working collaboratively with patients to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address issues from multiple perspectives and involve more than a prescription. She strives to know her patients as individuals. She continues to be inspired by the people she cares for and the resiliency they show in the face of life’s challenges.
As a geriatric psychiatrist, Dr. Rivera has specialized training in psychiatric issues that present later in life. She is particularly interested in working with people with memory disorders, such as dementia.
In her spare time, Dr. Rivera enjoys listening to music, watching her favorite shows, tinkering in the garage, gardening, and playing board games with friends.
