Family Nurse Practitioner
Tara Roeder considers a healthy patient-provider relationship the foundation of high-quality primary care. She focuses on understanding patients’ goals, priorities, and lifestyles so that she can provide personalized care. She loves educating patients and empowering them to take control of their health.
Tara has specialized training in sexual health and menopausal management. She offers medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders. She is also passionate about cardiovascular disease prevention and management.
Before becoming a nurse, Tara worked in a lab as a marine and geoscientist and studied the formation of the Himalayas. Tara earned a bachelor of science in marine science at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. She completed a master of science in geosciences at the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia. From there, she completed a master of science in nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tara spends most of her free time running, salsa and bachata dancing, skiing, hiking, and helping her partner, who is far superior at gardening, keep their plants going.
