Tammy Bloom, MD
Urologist
Dr. Tammy Bloom values open communication and individual autonomy as she works with patients to develop treatment plans. She provides straightforward explanations and comprehensive education to patients and their families. She stays up-to-date on emerging treatments in the rapidly progressing field of urology so she can provide expert care.
As a general urologist, Dr. Bloom treats a wide variety of conditions. Common reasons she sees patients include stones, erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, voiding dysfunction, and contraception.
Dr. Bloom earned a bachelor of science in biology and doctor of medicine at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. She completed her residency in urology at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.
Outside of work, Dr. Bloom and her three Eagle Scout sons enjoy backpacking, whitewater rafting, camping, fishing, and kayaking. She serves on the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors. She is married to another busy surgeon, so their “superpowers” are scheduling and logistics. She was deployed to Thailand, Korea, and Australia as a U.S. Naval flight surgeon with a U.S. Marine Corps fighter jet squadron. During her career in the Navy, she held several positions, including department head, until she retired and moved to the Pacific Northwest.
