Stephanie Mittelstaedt, MD, MPH

Dr. Stephanie Mittelstaedt was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia before heading west to attend Colorado College, where she received an undergraduate degree in biology. She then headed further west to Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where she earned her medical degree and a master’s degree in public health.
With her love of the Northwest solidified, she stayed on at OHSU to complete her internship and residency in internal medicine. Following her residency, she worked for a year as a hospitalist in rural, southern Oregon before returning to the Portland area.
Dr. Mittelstaedt has a special interest in how epidemiological research can be used to improve quality and efficiency in healthcare delivery. She is also interested in health policy and cares deeply about healthcare access in medically underserved communities.
She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cooking, hiking, and doing anything involving the outdoors.
