Nurse Practitioner

Stacey Koehler-West enjoys being able to help patients live their best lives, despite health challenges. She works closely with individuals to help them understand their condition and limitations, and to set and achieve new goals. She has a passion for caring for senior patients and loves listening to them talk about their life experiences.

Stacey earned a master of science in nursing with a focus in adult gerontology primary care from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She also holds an associate’s degree in nursing from Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. She earned a bachelor of arts in criminal justice from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Stacey has more than 20 years of experience in health care, including 11 years of experience in palliative care. She served in the Iowa Army National Guard as a combat medic and emergency medical technician for eight years. She then moved to the Northwest and worked at a skilled nursing facility and a renal care group. After earning her nursing certificate, she worked as a trauma recovery nurse, a staff nurse in a diabetes and renal care unit, and as a hospice nurse. She has been honored to help patients and families through end-of-life care and to mentor new nurses in this specialty.

Away from medicine, Stacey enjoys going backpacking with her husband in the Olympic National Forest and Mount Adams Wilderness area. She also enjoys traveling, snowboarding, gardening, reading, and playing Scrabble.
