Shika Mukkamala, DO
Dr. Shika Mukkamala treats each patient with kindness and listens carefully to their concerns. She strives to help individuals feel like family. As a provider, Dr. Mukkamala approaches care holistically, focusing on the body and the mind. She believes that normalizing discussions about mental health can help patients get the support they need to improve their quality of life. Dr. Mukkamala particularly enjoys being able to see patients over time as it allows her to watch them progress physically and mentally.
Dr. Mukkamala earned a bachelor of science in human development and family studies from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. From there she earned a doctor of osteopathic medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina.
Away from medicine, Dr. Mukkamala enjoys spending time with her husband, who is a photographer and chef. They love going out to eat and hosting dinner parties for friends. She is also a hiker, rock climber, true crime podcast listener, and avid reader of nonfiction psychological thrillers. They have one pet, a “Chiweenie” (Chihuahua and Dachshund mix) named Charley.
