Dr. Shevyll Tan considers physical and spiritual wellbeing to be essential components of health. She is honored to be patients’ health advocate, guiding them in their decisions and connecting them with resources.
Dr. Tan has a special interest in the marriage of concepts from Western and Eastern medicine. She strives to communicate the beauty of this integration to patients and enable them to make sound decisions based on the latest knowledge.
Born and raised in the Philippines by Chinese parents, Dr. Tan was inspired to enter medicine after witnessing the sickness, poverty, faith, and resilience of her community. These early experiences taught her the value of education, disease prevention, and a positive support network.
Dr. Tan earned a doctor of medicine at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and completed her internship at Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center in Manila, Philippines. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Western Reserve Care System in Youngstown, Ohio.
Dr. Tan enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. They love to travel, try out new recipes, and watch Korean soap operas. She particularly enjoys sleeping in. Dr. Tan is a physician volunteer at the Good News Community Health Center, which provides care to non-insured patients.
