Shannon Siert, DPT
Physical Therapist
Shannon enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals, whether that means playing with their grandchildren again or returning to high-level athletics. Shannon believes that physical therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique history, life circumstances, and goals. She considers treatment a collaboration between the patient and therapist.
Shannon’s approach to physical therapy is active and educational. She loves helping patients improve their fitness level and learn how to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives. She also enjoys teaching patients the “why” behind physical therapy exercises and how to manage pain and injury when they’re at home.
Shannon earned a doctor of physical therapy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She earned a bachelor of science in nutrition and dietetics at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska. She also completed a dietetic internship at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. She has a special interest in using nutrition and physical therapy interventions to help athletes and patients with chronic diseases reach their goals.
When Shannon’s not in the clinic, she enjoys backpacking, trail running, rock climbing, lifting weights, and cooking. She started her own cake business during physical therapy school and was always staying up late to bake eight-layer cakes, tiered wedding cakes, cinnamon rolls, and cookies.
