Dr. Sasha Waldstein appreciates the opportunity to get to know patients and their families well so that she can provide guidance and support through a challenging time in their lives. She focuses on developing the best, individualized treatment plan for each person. She presents each patient with options and recommendations while taking the time to ensure that all their questions are answered.
Dr. Waldstein treats a range of diseases but has a particular interest in prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and breast cancer, as well as bleeding and clotting disorders and myeloproliferative neoplasms, a group of blood disorders. She enjoys staying at the forefront of new treatment options.
Dr. Waldstein earned a bachelor of arts in biology at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. She earned her doctor of medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. She completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. From there, she finished a fellowship in hematology and oncology, serving as chief fellow in her final year at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Away from medicine, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband and twin boys. She looks forward to taking her kids camping, swimming, hiking, and kayaking as they grow.
