Sarah Pongon, DPT
Physical Therapist
Getting to know patients is the most important part of Sarah Pongon’s practice. She learns about each person, their hopes, and how their pain is impacting their life. Then she creates a unique care plan that gets them moving comfortably again. Sarah uses education, exercise, and activity modification to reduce pain and promote healing.
Sarah enjoys working with athletes of all ages and from every sport—from power walkers to elite soccer players. She has a special interest in lower-extremity injuries involving the knee and ankle.
Sarah first became interested in physical therapy as a student athlete. A Vancouver Clinic physical therapist helped her rehab her knee and shoulder injuries, allowing her to play soccer and basketball again. The experience left an impact, and when Sarah went to college, she decided to combine her love of medicine, sports, and people into a career. Sarah attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, where she earned a bachelor of arts in biology. From there, she earned a doctor of physical therapy at Eastern Washington University in Spokane, Washington. In addition to her clinical work, Sarah supports the next generation of therapists by mentoring students preparing to take the national licensing exam.
Sarah enjoys rock climbing, cycling, rowing, weightlifting, and playing pickleball and softball. She follows most of the Seattle sports teams—the Huskies, Seahawks, Mariners, and Kraken. She is an avid video gamer but is happy to put down the controller to spend time with her twin sister and adorable niece.
