Dr. Samreen Khan believes it is a privilege to earn the trust of her patients and help safeguard their health. Dr. Khan is particularly passionate about primary care because preventing diseases and managing concerns enables people to live long and healthy lives. She believes in the power of eating well, setting healthy weight goals, staying active, managing stress, and improving sleep. Through educating patients about lifestyle approaches, she strives to help them avoid, reverse, or manage chronic conditions, including hypertension, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes.
Dr. Khan earned a bachelor of medicine and a bachelor of surgery at Khyber Medical University in Peshawar, Pakistan. She completed an advanced professional master of public health at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She completed a residency in preventive medicine at Griffin Hospital in Derby, Connecticut, and an internal medicine residency at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. She is fluent in Urdu and Pashto.
Away from medicine, Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with her husband and two adorable children. She loves cooking, hiking, biking, and practicing yoga. She also enjoys watching sports, binging on the occasional Netflix series, and enjoying a cup of tea with friends.
