Nelya Pavlenko, MD
Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Nelya Pavlenko is a guide to patients. She helps them navigate the complex health care system and make lasting lifestyle changes. Her goal is to enable patients to become their best selves—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Dr. Pavlenko appreciates working in family medicine because of the opportunities to build lasting relationships with individuals and their families. She has a special interest in women’s health, pediatrics, diabetes and other metabolic conditions, and mental health. She believes in the importance of good nutrition, active living, and meaningful social engagement.
Born in the Ukraine, Dr. Pavlenko grew up in Vancouver, Washington, and received a bachelor of science in biology from Washington State University in Vancouver. She earned a doctor of medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She completed internship and residency programs at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington, part of PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
Dr. Pavlenko and her husband have four children. Some of her favorite activities include baking desserts, gardening, reading nonfiction, and making lots of trips to the swimming pool with her kids.
