Nasreen Ilias-Khan, MD
Cardiologist
Dr. Nasreen Ilias-Khan believes it’s important for patients to feel like their doctor knows them. She wants the individuals she cares for to feel comfortable sharing who they are and what they think is important about their health. At the end of each appointment, she helps her patients leave with a care plan they understand and goals for how they can continue to work on their health.
Dr. Ilias-Khan has deep experience with coronary angiograms, pacemakers, and implantable loop recorders. She enjoys caring for all types of cardiology patients, including those seeking care for prevention and health, those managing vascular disease, and those needing additional care and monitoring due to cancer treatments.
Dr. Ilias-Khan earned a bachelor of arts in biochemistry, computer science, and mathematics from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She graduated with a doctor of medicine from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland. She completed an internal medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She also holds a master’s in health care administration from OHSU.
She is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular ultrasound.
Dr. Ilias-Khan and her husband have two sons. She enjoys taking taekwondo with her kids and tinkering with new projects with her husband. Among other endeavors, they’ve poured their own concrete porch, installed a glass railing, and built their own garden boxes. She and her family like to travel to see different cultures, try unique cuisines, and enjoy new experiences.
