Dr. Michael Ryan believes that it is a privilege to play a role in guiding patients through the stress and uncertainty of illness. He particularly enjoys empowering patients to make good wellness decisions by helping them fully understand their condition and by offering expert insights.
Dr. Ryan focuses on treatment of acute coronary syndromes and offers invasive and noninvasive treatment of coronary artery disease.
Dr. Ryan earned a doctor of medicine from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Loyola University Medical Center, also in Maywood. In addition, he completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology for the Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Michigan. Before coming to Vancouver Clinic, he was the director of Cardiac Catheterization and Invasive Services at Western Slope Cardiology in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Dr. Ryan and his wife, a family practice physician, have three children. In his free time he hikes, reads, and runs. He enjoys participating in triathlons and recently completed the Hagg Lake Triathlon in Gaston, Oregon.
