Michael Fleischman, DO

Dr. Michael Fleischman is an orthopedic surgeon with sub-specialty training in primary, complex, and revision joint replacement for hip and knee arthritis.

Dr. Fleischman received his medical degree at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. During his residency training through Michigan State University at McLaren Oakland, Dr. Fleischman trained in all facets of orthopedic surgery, with special emphasis on trauma, sports medicine, and joint replacement.

Following residency he received a fellowship in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at the Indiana University. He has special interest in total hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, minimally invasive surgical techniques, computer navigated surgery, arthroscopy, and up-to-date diagnostic modalities.

Dr. Fleischman emphasizes communication with his patients. He feels that this not only optimizes patient guided treatment, but also patient education. This is the same philosophy he uses when diagnosing illness in his friends and family. Whether the treatment is conservative or surgical, he hopes that all of his patients feel as if they can fully participate in their medical care. His lifelong aspiration of being an orthopedic surgeon is clearly demonstrated in his daily patient interactions.

In his free time, Dr. Fleischman enjoys exercising, college and professional athletics, and spending time with friends and family.
