Dr. Matthew Hauck was drawn to ophthalmology because of the opportunity to make a profound difference in people’s lives by preserving or restoring their vision. He focuses on providing individualized treatment plans and one-on-one attention.
A specialist in oculoplastic surgery, Dr. Hauck has advanced training and expertise in reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries of the face. His goal is to preserve vision while offering the aesthetic results patients desire. He has specific experience treating eyelid disorders, excess tearing, and orbital pathology. He also performs reconstructive surgeries for patients who have had skin cancer or facial trauma, and offers facial cosmetic surgery and non-surgical cosmetic rejuvenation.
Dr. Hauck earned a bachelor of science in biology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He earned a doctor of medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He finished his residency in ophthalmology and served as chief resident at the same school. Dr. Hauck completed a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He is board certified in ophthalmology.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hauck enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. The family enjoys making music, cooking Cambodian food, and finding waterfalls together.
