Matilda (Tilly) Field, CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife
Tilly Field believes that every pregnant person deserves to bring their baby into this world on their terms. As a nurse midwife, Tilly focuses on facilitating a safe, nurturing birth experience for families and their newborns.
Tilly has specific interests in family planning and labor support. She finds it rewarding to educate people about their reproductive health options. She particularly enjoys helping patients adopt habits that promote a healthy pregnancy and baby—and a healthy future for the whole family.
Tilly earned a bachelor of arts in public health at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. She completed a postgraduate certificate in geographic information systems at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. She then earned a bachelor of science in nursing and a master of science in nursing at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Emory, Tilly coordinated and participated in a volunteer program providing doula services to individuals without adequate support during labor and childbirth.
Away from medicine, Tilly enjoys skiing, road and mountain biking, gardening, and spending time with her partner, who is also a nurse. In the summers, she loves learning to windsurf and wing foil in the Gorge. Organizing is her superpower—she can declutter a space in minutes.
