Mary Clause-Rakis, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Mary Clause-Rakis is a board-certified physician assistant with a degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. She has worked as a physician assistant since 2012, focusing on orthopedic surgery assistance.
Mary believes in treating every patient with empathy, compassion, and patience. She enjoys listening to people and making sure they know that their feelings have been heard and their needs respected.
Mary finds working in orthopedics rewarding because she can dramatically improve the quality of patients’ lives. She has helped guide individuals from near immobility to being able to play at the park with their grandchildren or take daily walks with their spouses. Watching how much happier patients become when they can move better physically continues to bring her incredible satisfaction.
When she’s not at work, Mary loves to travel, camp, hike, cook, and go to music festivals with her family. She could spend an entire weekend gardening or building things out of scrap wood in the garage. While she enjoys all types of food, if Mary were stuck on a deserted island and could have only one meal for the rest of her life, she’d choose nachos and imperial stout.
