Dr. Anderson received his medical degree in 1978 from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He completed his Family Practice internship at Emanuel Hospital in Portland. Dr. Anderson has worked several years as an emergency room physician, including serving as Medical Director of an emergency department.
He has a special interest in wilderness medicine and toxic woods and sea life for wood workers and sailors. Dr. Anderson’s philosophy of patient care includes being sensitive to psychosocial circumstances and connections with his patients.
Dr. Anderson enjoys a wide variety of activities and his hobbies include photography and building a 40-foot wood sailboat from scratch.
