Maarten Harris, DPT
Physical Therapist
With multiple firsthand experiences with injury, Maarten Harris knows how pain can disrupt life and lead to a loss of personal identity. He understands the persistence required to overcome physical, emotional, and mental hurdles. As a provider, Maarten is gratified to guide patients through the recovery process and empower them to reach their goals.
Maarten’s treatment approach focuses on finding the root cause of injury. He employs a mixture of education, manual therapy, and exercise therapy to restore movement and relieve discomfort. He particularly enjoys helping patients move forward and avoid reinjury by teaching them about their condition and setting them up with a strong home exercise program.
Maarten earned a bachelor of arts in art studio from Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California. He earned a doctor of physical therapy from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Prior to entering medicine, Maarten worked as a snowboard instructor and white-water guide, navigating class 5-plus rapids. He’s also an avid rock climber. When Maarten’s not exploring the Cascades and local rivers he enjoys playing board games with friends and practicing the guitar.
