Dr. Theresa van den Berg feels privileged to be a family medicine doctor because it allows her to make a difference in patients’ lives from the very beginning. She can watch kids grow, empower people of all ages to prevent diseases before they start, and help patients recover from illnesses.

Dr. van den Berg likes getting to know patients personally and building relationships based on mutual trust and respect. She strives to help everyone she sees feel heard and understood. She is passionate about educating patients and giving them the tools they need to improve their wellness.

She completed her residency in family medicine at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She earned a doctor of medicine from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She also holds a bachelor of science in biology from the same university.

Dr. van den Berg and her husband have two children. They enjoy traveling, whether it’s to Holland or Cannon Beach, Oregon. On the weekends they like exploring the outdoors, eating good food, and watching movies together.
