Dr. Leslie Disher offers compassionate surgical care. She values open communication with patients and takes the time to educate them on their surgery and recovery.
Dr. Disher has a special interest in breast cancer and benign breast diseases. She also focuses on minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic procedures used for treating colon cancers, benign colon diseases, and inguinal, ventral, and hiatal hernias. She is proficient in endocrine surgery, including thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal surgery. She advocates for using outpatient robotic surgery when it’s appropriate for the patient, as it typically results in a faster and more comfortable recovery than other techniques.
Dr. Disher holds a bachelor of science in biology from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, California. She earned a doctor of osteopathy degree at Kansas City University in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University (SUNY) in Syracuse, New York.
Away from medicine, Dr. Disher enjoys biking, skiing, hiking, and spending time with her five children.
