Krista Kaufman, FNP-C
Krista Kaufman became a nurse practitioner in order to have a positive impact on people’s lives. As a provider, her goal is to understand the values and goals of patients so that she can partner with them on a plan that maximizes their well-being and helps them thrive. She believes individuals should be treated with compassion and empathy.
Krista values a holistic approach to care. She enjoys working with patients and their families to treat diseases early, promote healthy lifestyle changes, and prevent issues through timely health screenings. She loves being able to help patients continue to do the things that bring them joy for as long as possible.
A former social worker, Krista’s first degree was a bachelor of arts in social work, women’s studies, and peace and justice studies, which she earned at Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana. From there, she completed a bachelor of science in nursing and a master of nursing at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Hiking, gardening, biking, and sitting in her garden with a book and cup of tea are her favorite ways to unwind. She also enjoys cooking, playing card games with her family, and snuggling her mischievous cats.
