Dr. Fischer is a medical graduate of Oregon Health & Science University. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and spent a few years making toilet paper prior to attending medical school. He attended medical residency at OHSU in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Fischer’s medical interests include wellness, disease prevention, stress-reduction, and women’s health. His treatment passions include high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, headaches, sports injuries, as well as depression, anxiety, insomnia, and working with patients with addictive illness and in recovery. Dr. Fischer strives to bring service excellence to every encounter by focusing on empathy, compassion, integrity, and a pragmatic approach to care.
At home, Dr. Fischer enjoys time with his wife and young daughter. They frequent the local zoo and the Oregon Coast. In his spare time, Dr. Fischer likes to cast a line on the Lewis River with his father. Dr. Fischer’s family has lived in Vancouver for three generations.
