Kathryn (Katy) Thellman, FNP
Katy Thellman uses a combination of lifestyle management, medications, and technology to empower patients to take control of their health. As a nurse practitioner with a background in primary care, she values a holistic approach to wellness. She takes individuals’ mental, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing into consideration when developing treatment plans.
Katy is passionate about diabetes and obesity management. She finds it rewarding to help patients manage these conditions and prevent future complications.
Katy earned her bachelor of arts in integrative physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder in Boulder, Colorado. She earned her master of science in nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Away from medicine, Katy likes to stay active by hiking, running, and rock climbing. She enjoys trying out new restaurants and recipes with her partner and relaxing on the couch with her cat in her lap. She grew up on a produce farm, which gave her a deep appreciation for local food systems and the people who support them. Her brother still runs their family farm in Kansas.
