Karen earned her BSN from Oregon Health & Science University, and her Master’s in Nursing from Washington State University. Her post graduate education includes Mindful Based Stress Reduction and Positive Psychology therapy. She is certified in family psychiatric mental health nursing and counsels adolescents through seniors to discern core issues and assist with coping.
Karen’s approach to mental health is to help support a healthy mind-body connection using a variety of tools. She believes people have an inner wisdom and ability to heal which can be invigorated by individualized education and practices.
In her free time, Karen likes to stay active outdoors, explore farm-to-table eateries with friends and family, watch movies, sports, and read.
