Julie Lawrence believes every patient deserves expert and compassionate medical care. She focuses on listening closely to individuals and educating them about their conditions and treatment options. Her goal is to help patients understand their diseases so that they can make decisions that promote health.

Using lifestyle changes, technology, and proven treatments, Julie helps people with diabetes and other endocrine disorders manage their conditions. She is particularly passionate about providing a secure and welcoming place for transgender individuals.

Julie earned a bachelor of arts in music at the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed a master of education at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. From there, she attended Macon State College, where she trained to become a registered nurse. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing and master of science in nursing at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She was a clinical instructor for the Clark College Nursing Program before joining Vancouver Clinic.

In her spare time, Julie has volunteered with Basic Rights Oregon, Gift of Life, and local blood banks. She and her husband have two daughters, a labradoodle, and a rescue cat. The family loves camping, spending time with extended family members, and listening to music together. Julie also plays music and co-writes songs with her husband for fun.
