Jonathan Riggs enjoys making a significant impact on patients’ quality of life through excellent orthopedic care. Because people have different goals, he focuses on listening closely to each patient, evaluating their condition, and creating a personalized treatment plan. He believes that adjusting treatment options based on patient feedback and progress is critical to delivering high-quality care.
Jonathan has a special interest in treating sports injuries, particularly those affecting the shoulder, elbow, or hand.
A lifelong athlete, Jonathan earned a bachelor of science degree in sports medicine/athletic training and a master in physician assistant studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before joining the clinic, he worked for Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, Oregon. He was previously the chief physician assistant at Vanderbilt Orthopedic Institute in Franklin, Tennessee. He is a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Cycle Services team, which provides care to people during a flood, fire, earthquake, or even war.
Jonathan and his wife enjoy cooking in their spare time. He likes to read science fiction and fantasy books and works out daily. He loves anything outdoorsy, including gardening, hiking, and walking his labradoodle, Huckleberry.
