Jessica Lau, MD
Dr. Jessica Lau focuses on listening to patients and making sure they feel heard. She considers education to be a critical part of care and takes the time to help individuals understand their condition so they can feel comfortable making decisions.
Dr. Lau treats a range of lung concerns but has a special interest in obstructive lung disease and interstitial lung disease. She believes that it’s a privilege to care for those with chronic lung conditions.
After earning a bachelor of science in biomedical sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, Dr. Lau went on to receive a doctor of medicine from the university’s Jacobs School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. From there she completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease.
In her spare time Dr. Lau likes to camp and hike with her husband. She is an avid baker and loves turning out delicious cakes, cookies, and pies. She has a small flock of backyard chickens that she enjoys taking care of.
