Huong Fearington, OD
Dr. Huong Fearington was inspired to become an optometrist by her family eye doctor. She saw how much he enjoyed his work and, as his patient, experienced first-hand the difference excellent vision care can make. Her appreciation for helping others with their sight only grew after she took a trip to Mexico with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Seeing patients’ faces light up after they could see clearly for the first time cemented her desire to bring that same joy to others.
As a provider, Dr. Fearington focuses on getting to know patients personally so that she can better meet their visual needs. She also believes in taking the time to educate people about how to care for their eyes so that they can make health and lifestyle changes that protect their vision.
Dr. Fearington earned a bachelor of science in psychobiology from the University of California in Los Angeles. She earned a doctor of optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in Fullerton, California. She completed her residency at SCCO’s Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, California.
In her free time, Dr. Fearington enjoys camping and hiking with her husband and two sons. The most spectacular and challenging hike she ever took was to Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.
