Gabriela Matamoros Pinto, MD
Internal Medicine Resident
Dr. Gabriela Matamoros Pinto listens closely to patients, answers their questions, and partners with them to improve their quality of life. She believes that people are unique and focuses on getting to know each individual so that she can better personalize the care she gives.
Dr. Matamoros Pinto has a special interest in preventive medicine. She finds it rewarding to educate patients on lifestyle changes they can make that will help them avoid or reverse chronic conditions.
Born, raised, and educated in Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Matamoros Pinto earned her medical degree at the Universidad Central de Venezuela Escuela de Medicina Luis Razetti. She served as an emergency medicine resident at Instituto Clinico La Florida, also in Caracas. After moving to the U.S., she worked as a Spanish-language medical interpreter for two years. She is passionate about being able to serve the Latinx community using their language so that valuable medical information doesn’t get lost.
Away from medicine, Dr. Matamoros Pinto enjoys climbing, hiking, snowboarding, and salsa dancing. She once spent 24 hours 400 feet off the ground after accidently getting stuck on a big wall climb at Red Rocks Canyon National Park outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.
