Emma Ordway believes patients and providers are on the same team, working toward the common goal of improving health. As a physician assistant, Emma takes the time to hear people’s full stories so she can understand not just their illnesses, but who they are as individuals.

Emma enjoys working in gastroenterology because of the opportunity to improve patients’ quality of life. When GI symptoms are managed successfully, patients can get through their days comfortably and continue to do the things they love. She particularly enjoys educating patients and helping them navigate the inpatient environment.

Emma earned a bachelor of science in human science from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She earned a master of health science in physician assistant studies from Lock Haven University in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

She is a life-long volunteer. Whether pulling ivy out of public parks, volunteering as an EMT, teaching English in Peru, or delivering food for Meals on Wheels, Emma enjoys giving back to her community. In her spare time she likes to hike with her Golden Retriever, explore food festivals and farmers markets, travel, and spend time with family.
