Elaheh Tehranchi, MD

Dr. Ellie Tehranchi received her bachelor of science degrees in chemistry and biology in 1985, and in nuclear medicine technology in 1986, from the University of New Mexico Health Science Center. She earned a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2005. She completed an internal medicine internship and residency at University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in 2008. She also completed a palliative care fellowship in 2012 at the same university. Dr. Tehranchi is board certified in internal medicine and hospice care.
Dr. Tehranchi taught internal medicine at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the University of Nevada School of Medicine from 2010 to 2012 and 2014 to 2017. She also completed a women’s health mini residency through the VA.
As a doctor, Dr. Tehranchi develops long-term relationships with patients in order to better address their unique health needs. She incorporates her passion for medicine and lifelong learning to help patients meet their wellness goals and achieve the best possible care outcomes. She believes that bringing a patient’s family into health conversations is extremely valuable because it ensures more people are committed to making important health changes—whether it’s eating better, exercising, or taking medications on time.
Dr. Tehranchi is married to her college sweetheart and has a grown son. She is a grandmother, and some of her favorite moments are spent exploring the zoo and local parks and museums with her grandchildren. In addition to spending time with her family, Dr. Tehranchi enjoys doing yoga, lifting weights, listening to music, and reading.
Dr. Tehranchi is fluent in English, Farsi, and Turkish.
