Diana Cardenas, RD

Diana Cardenas supports patients’ wellbeing by helping them find a healthy approach to nutrition while staying true to their cultural and personal traditions. She loves educating people about the role nutrients play in disease prevention and treatment.
As a diabetes educator, Diana is passionate about helping patients manage their condition and prevent long-term complications using diet and lifestyle changes. She finds it rewarding to empower people to shop for and cook delicious, healthy meals.
Diana earned a bachelor of science in nutrition at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. She completed her dietetic internship program at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is fluent in Spanish.
In her free time, Diana enjoys riding her bike around town while stopping at food carts, coffee shops, and the public library. She likes to cook and try new recipes from all over the world. She also likes to hike at Forest Park and Mount Tabor Park with her husband and dog.
