Derk Maniscalco, DNP
Nurse Practitioner
Derk Maniscalco strives to minimize the negative impact of injury and illness by educating patients and their families and empowering them to be active participants in their health care. He believes that every patient’s needs and preferences should be respected. He enjoys working in Vancouver Clinic’s Urgent Care Department because of the opportunity to improve the health of patients of all ages.
Derk completed his undergraduate studies at Excelsior College. He received his master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in 2010. Derk’s desire to offer patients the best care possible inspired him to continue his education. He went on to earn a doctorate in nursing practice in 2018 from the same university. Derk is board certified in family and emergency medicine by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Derk is the father of six children and an avid runner. He and his family enjoy spending time together outdoors. They particularly enjoy biking, kayaking, playing tennis, and hiking together. He served 10 years in the U.S. Army Reserve and is currently a major in the U.S. Air Force National Guard.
