David Yamamoto, MD
Internal Medicine Resident
Dr. David Yamamoto was inspired to become a physician after watching the impact his father, an internal medicine physician, had on his close-knit community. He is excited to follow in his father’s footsteps and build relationships with his own patients. He values spending time connecting with individuals and working together to achieve their health goals.
Dr. Yamamoto has a special interest in preventative medicine. He finds it rewarding to see the impact that lifestyle changes, nutrition education, and mental health support can have on patients’ wellness.
Dr. Yamamoto earned a bachelor of science in biology at the University of Nevada, Reno, in Reno, Nevada. He earned a doctor of medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Outside of work, Dr. Yamamoto likes to spend his time fishing, hunting, coastal foraging, hiking, and camping. He is passionate about the positive impact that nature can have on overall health. He previously volunteered for an organization that keeps parks and hiking trails clean and accessible. He enjoys cooking and baking and is working with his wife to perfect their sourdough bread using their own starter
