Cynthia Luu, DPM, FACFAS
Podiatrist, Foot & Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Cynthia Luu grew up in Northern California and received her bachelor’s degree in physiological science from the University of California at Los Angeles. She earned her doctor of podiatric medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. She completed her surgical residency at Tucson Medical Center in Arizona, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Luu developed a passion for medicine when she sustained a compound ankle fracture in a car accident as a preteen. After surgery, she spent the entire summer in physical therapy, learning how to walk again. Today, her goal as a podiatrist is to help patients get back to living an active, healthy lifestyle.
For Dr. Luu, honesty and open communication are the building blocks of a strong provider-patient relationship. She strives to treat every patient as she would a family member, offering compassion and respect every step of the way. She believes in educating patients so that they can understand their diagnosis, make informed decisions, and fully participate in their care.
Dr. Luu enjoys all aspects of podiatry, from conservative management to surgical care. She is particularly interested in diabetic limb salvage and wound care.
When she’s not working, Dr. Luu enjoys spending time with her husband, exploring new hiking trails, cooking, trying new restaurants, attending hot yoga, and running.
