Dr. Courtney Ensslin provides expert care for skin cancer and a wide range of skin conditions, helping patients lead healthier, happier lives. She treats each of her patients like family and makes sure that they are comfortable during their visit. Her goal is to provide evidence-based treatment in a compassionate and caring manner.
Dr. Ensslin specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, a tissue-sparing procedure that offers the highest cure rate for skin cancer. She is also trained in facial reconstruction and finds it rewarding to repair post-Mohs surgery wounds in a way that minimizes visibility and scarring.
Dr. Ensslin was born and raised in New York and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. She earned her medical degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in New York. She completed her internship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and went on to complete her residency in dermatology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She then completed her fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at Columbia University Medical Center/New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She practiced in Maryland prior to joining Vancouver Clinic.
In her time outside of work, Dr. Ensslin loves to travel, hike, practice Lagree Pilates, play tennis, spend time with her family and friends, and try out new recipes.
