Christine is a 2004 graduate of the University of New Mexico nurse midwifery program and has practiced in the Pacific Northwest since 2005. She graduated from Smith College in Northampton, MA with a BA in sociology and taught outdoor education in New England before returning to New Mexico for nursing and midwifery school.
Christine is passionate about all aspects of women’s healthcare. She enjoys the educational aspect of nurse midwifery and hopes her patients feel both informed and empowered in their healthcare decisions. She sees pregnancy and childbirth as an exciting, profound, and transformational experience in a woman’s life and feels fortunate to be a part of a family’s birth experience.
Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Christine relocated to the Northwest in 2005. She has since fallen in love with the mountains, rivers, and scenic beauty of Washington and Oregon and enjoys hiking, skiing, and fly fishing. When not working, she can often be found playing bluegrass or old-time music at a number of different local venues or traveling to music festivals and camp outs. She has a close knit and somewhat eccentric and active family and a loveable and hyperactive four-legged fur-child (dog) named Maggie.
