Cassandra Zabel helps patients achieve a healthy lifestyle without feeling overwhelmed or restricted. She tailors plans to individuals’ unique needs and goals. She supports patients with diabetes as they determine the best approach for managing their condition through food, activity, lifestyle, and medication.
Cassandra is passionate about diabetes care and technology. She has a special interest in digestive disorders and helping patients determine foods that trigger symptoms and those that improve symptoms.
Cassandra earned a bachelor of science in nutrition and food management at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. She earned a master of public health in health promotion at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. From there, she earned a graduate certificate in dietetics and integrative medicine through the University of Kansas. She is a registered dietitian and a certified diabetes care and education specialist. She is the diabetes education program quality coordinator at Vancouver Clinic.
Away from work, Cassandra enjoys playing racquetball, hiking, and paddleboarding. She is an avid traveler with a passion for trying new cuisines and learning about cultural traditions.
