Dr. Caryn Lawrence appreciates the relationships she develops with her patients. A family medicine physician, she values the opportunity to see individuals frequently and know them personally. She understands her patients’ health care goals and preferences so she can work with them to develop individualized plans.

Dr. Lawrence treats patients of all ages, but she is particularly passionate about caring for older adults. She finds it rewarding to help individuals manage chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and osteoarthritis. She has a special interest in lifestyle improvements that can prevent and improve chronic conditions. During residency, she completed several sports medicine rotations and is experienced in providing joint injections.

Dr. Lawrence earned a bachelor of science in chemistry at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She earned a master of arts in bioethics and a doctor of osteopathic medicine at Kansas City University in Kansas City, Missouri. From there, she completed her residency in family medicine at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida.

Away from medicine, Dr. Lawrence loves to watch football and root for the Kansas City Chiefs with her husband. The pair travels to Switzerland as often as possible to get their fix of Swiss chocolate. On rainy days, she enjoys reading fiction, baking, and playing video games. One of the lucky Swifties, she saw Taylor Swift on her Eras tour in Tampa, Florida.
