Carlos Williams, MD
Dr. Carlos Williams believes that movement is life. As an orthopedic surgeon, he is gratified to help patients reclaim their ability to move freely and with less pain. His special medical interests include knee replacements; hip replacements with an anterior approach; and robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery.
Before joining Vancouver Clinic, Dr. Williams was a physician partner at a medical practice in Portland, Oregon, where he specialized in adult joint reconstruction.
Dr. Williams earned a doctor of medicine from Howard University in Washington D.C. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C, and his fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, before moving to the Northwest.
French was the first language he learned, having spent the first seven years of his life in Paris, France. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys traveling, especially in Europe.
Dr. Williams holds an undefeated amateur boxing record in the state of Virginia. He embraces his “movement is life” philosophy by hiking, camping, running, and practicing yoga. He also enjoys do-it-yourself home projects and woodworking.
