Camilla (Camille) Elven, MD
Hospitalist
Dr. Camille Elven believes that it’s a privilege to help patients during a hospital stay. As a doctor, she always strives to take care of the whole person—mind, body, and soul. She uncovers the answers to patients’ illnesses, educates them about their diseases, and gives them the tools to prevent future hospitalizations. She enjoys sitting with patients and hearing their unique and amazing stories.
Dr. Elven has a special interest in helping patients manage pain and chronic diseases well. She shares information on long-term, non-opioid therapies and works with patients to discover the options that are appropriate for them.
Dr. Elven graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, with a bachelor of science in biology. She earned a doctor of medicine from the same university. She completed an internship in neurology and a residency in internal medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Away from medicine, Dr. Elven enjoys traveling with her husband, skiing on Mount Hood, and hiking in the Columbia River Gorge with her two dogs. She once visited the set where The Wizard of Oz was filmed and even held Dorothy’s famous ruby red slippers.
