Brooke Allen, OT, CHT
Certified Hand Therapist
As a certified hand therapist, Brooke enjoys working with patients one-on-one and developing creative, individualized therapies that enable them to return to their daily activities. She is adept at helping care for issues affecting the upper body, from the shoulder down to the fingertips. She commonly treats individuals who want to recover from fractures, tendon and nerve-repair surgeries, arthritis, and cumulative trauma injuries. Brooke believes in a holistic approach to rehabilitation and partners with patients and their physicians to improve outcomes.
Brooke is interested in all areas of medicine related to the the hands and arms, including kinesiology, anatomy, neurology, and orthopedics. She is a certified Kinesio Tape practitioner, a certified ergonomic assessment specialist, and a certified lymphedema therapist for the upper extremity. She particularly enjoys consulting on proper ergonomics.
Brooke earned a master of science in occupational therapy from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona. She also holds a bachelor of science in marketing from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.
In her free time, Brooke enjoys going to movies and art shows, painting, working out, and traveling. Among other adventures, she has spotted penguins in New Zealand, parasailed and zip lined in Hawaii, and participated in a yacht sailing race in St. Maarten. She loves dancing and was a three-time state dance champion.
